Medicine Our medicine experience and observation programmes include a pre-university medical programme, an elective programme, and traditional medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmacy and dentistry. Sports Sport is a language everyone understands. Foster community spirit and local talents by teaching football, basketball, rounders and a variety of other sports in Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Peru, Senegal and South Africa.

Veterinary Medicine This is your chance to get hands-on experience - lab work, vaccinations, working with farm animals and pets. You'll see first-hand the importance of animal health to the survival of farmers and their families.

Animal Care For anyone with a love of animals, or a desire to gain experience in this field. Travel to Mexico or South Africa and help in an animal rehabilitation centre.

Inca Projects Discover and reconstruct stunning pre-Hispanic, Incan agricultural terraces in the Peruvian Andes.

Archaeology Gain archaeological experience and broaden your knowledge while unearthing the remains of the medieval Romanian kingdom of Transylvania.

Business Finance, advertising, marketing, PR, engineering, IT, tourism and interior design are all fields our work-experience volunteers have had placements in. Contact us if you have a specific requirement and we may well be able to set something up in China, Ghana or Mongolia.

Nomad Projects. Live and work in the Mongolian steppe with a Nomadic family. Riding horses and camels and collecting firewood are all part of daily life in the desert.

Law and Human Rights We have law placements in Ghana, China and South Africa. If you are interested in the legal profession, having international experience like this on your CV could help you get that first job out of school. You could also join our unique Human Rights project in Ghana.

French Learn French on our language projects in Senegal or Morocco.

IT Projects Help to teach children much sought after computer skills in Sri Lanka, South Africa and Ghana.

Drama An opportunity to work with drama clubs in Romania as well as the local drama community.

Arts & Crafts Arts & Crafts Learn new arts and crafts techniques by working alongside Mexican artisans in Tlaquepaque, a district of Guadalajara. Volunteers will also run arts and crafts workshops for local school children.

Khmer Projects – Explore the ancient civilisations and engaging culture of modern Cambodia on our Khmer Project. The allure of Angkor Wat and images of Khmer temples surrounded by jungles have captivated travellers for centuries and, as you will discover, they are still some of the most amazing archaeological sites in the world.

2-Week Specials - If you're in the 16 to 19 age group and in full-time education, why not join us on our short programmes designed for you? Aimed to give you valuable work experience or develop a particular skill in two to three weeks, these placements are structured to allow you to make the most of a short time overseas.

University Dissertations The Dissertation Programme is designed for undergraduates researching their final-year dissertations. It takes advantage of the experience and expertise of members of Teaching & Projects Abroad staff and we can help you prepare a detailed research plan in conjunction with your academic tutor and sort out practical requirements in the field.

Tailor-made Group Trips - We also offer groups of five or more the option to custom-design a placement to suit their goals and interests. These projects can be as short as 2 weeks or as long as 12 months.
