Sports in India

Ask anyone who has been to an Indian cricket match and you will be left in no doubt that the nation is passionate about sport. Embracing this commitment at grass-roots level, our Sport Placements in India work with schools all over the southern provinces.

There are placements where you can help coach volleyball, a sport rapidly growing in popularity in India, basketball, tennis athletics and football as well as the established favourites of tennicoit, badminton and of course cricket.

The schools we work with don't have the resources or people to dedicate to sport. As a result, sport struggles to achieve the prominence it attains in richer countries. Your help will make a difference to kids' health and in promising cases with their sporting futures.

Most children - boys and girls - seem to have great enthusiasm and an unlimited appetite for sport. If you have the time and energy to help out there are many children, parents and schools who would be extremely grateful.
